IMHO, Clapton playing style wouldn't have been what it is if <<he had
vulnerabilities and emotions that were fragile>> were not part of his
life. I don't pretend that ones need to live this kind of life to be a
musician, but it helps a lot to make them interesting an play with a
certain kind of feeling.

During the last decade, EC seems to be an happy man and his playing
style has changed. I have more emotions when I listen to his solos from
the Sheryl Crow era, post Conor's death, D&D and many others.

It is difficult for me in english to express precisely what feel and
mean in a few words, but I hope I made the point clear.
