Anyway, when I heard ECs comments on how he feels he's > lost some of the chops
he had during the Nothing But the Blues Tour, I found it hard to totally
disagree.

I agree with everything you said, I've been saying it for the whole
2006/2007 tour. EC's playing was far superior in 2004, EC was into it, you could see
it in his body language. Watch ISTS and Jingo (with Carlos Santana) from
Crossroads 2004 and you'll see my point. Today, EC is content on having Derek
Trucks/Other do the heavy lifting. However, rather than criticize, I've come
to the terms with the fact that EC may not play like he used to and just
enjoy him "as is" while I can before he's gone.

While EC's playing was superior in 2004, I thought the 2007 CGF performance,
as a whole, was magical and surpassed the 2004 CGF performance. The Dominos
rich setlist, along with the Steve Winwood reunion and the performance with
Robbie Robertson made for an unforgettable show. Also the interplay between
EC and Derek Trucks during WDLGTBSS was priceless!!! For me, it was easily
EC's best performance of the 2006/2007 tour.

Cheers,

Jon
