[Slowhand] CLAPTON" (Bryan Reid)

Sorry to say, I have to agree with Bryan's assessment. I am especially disappointed in view of the terrific selections that Clapton has been playing live of late (the Dominos and Blind Faith stuff). When, at a recent show, he played Wilson Pickett's "Don't Knock My Love," I really had high hopes for this new release. Unfortunately there are only a few cuts on the entire CD, including the bonus tracks, that will make it to my iPod: "Run Back to Your Side", "That's No Way to Get Along", and MAYBE "Everything Will Be Alright." At the Last Waltz, I believe it was Robbie Robertson that said "Play guitar, Eric Clapton." I can think of no better admonishment.

Gary
