[Slowhand] Clapton "Show" in Skokie

Thanks for sharing a pretty cool story. It just goes to show the power of social media that can capture other fans' stories as well as pictures to help confirm what, in some respects, was an urban myth.

The closest I ever got to rock stardom (and rock stardom is a stretch!) was bumping into Kevin Cronin at a music store on the east side of Wichita back in the mid 70s. He was lurking around the guitars and I didn't really know who he was until he walked out of the store and the store manager about peed all over himself explaining who he was.

Meh.

But I dig those pics of Clapton who looks slightly embarrassed by all the attention. What a great experience that must have been.

Cheers,

Jeff
