I respect what you are saying but there are people that say I am not coming
to the parish and they can careless.  There are some people like that. And
are not thinking about the people that are returning.  Maybe not you are
some folks that have medical problems.   Sometimes comments are made and it
reaches the wrong party.

most people who haven't gutted their homes are on the parish's list to have
their homes gutted by the volunteer groups.  we do not have the means to pay
someone to gut the house, and physically cannot do it ourselves (disc
problems in neck and back for me and heart problems for my husband)!!!!!  i
will tell you this, i love my neighbors and they are living in front of
their home in a fema trailer and no, i do not want them to have to contend
with my disgusting home and its now disgusting contents, but i have no
choice.  my neighbors understand my situation and do not blame me in the
least.  i do not usually write in these type of emails, only try to give
information that i may have on a particular subject, but this is just going
to get out of hand.  i do not believe that anyone in our parish would just
let their home sit and rot because they wanted to offend their neighbors or
because they just didn't care.  i do not think the people of st. bernard are
that way, which made it such a special place.  lets try to understand that
your neighbors may not be able to get this job done without the help of the
volunteers and they are GOING AS FAST AS THEY CAN.  i thank them for giving
up their time and effort and however long it takes, is how long it
takes........
 
thanks for letting me have my say, and please stop all these emails talking
about people, it will rip us all apart, which is the last thing any of us
needs.
