Probaby a mile long.

It was at least FIVE miles long. When my son in law came to our house to
work, he saw the line way past Goodchildren's Bakery in Violet.
But please, when I do go to deliver goods and ask what people need, Pots and
long Spoons are a much desired item by many many people, even the ones that
got their trailers with the coleman set (it just burns everything) and no
spoon to stir.
Money is tight with many and a set of pots and spoons would be a welcome
shot in the arm. After all, first those who salvaged their magnalite pots
got chastised for wanting to cook in them, and now they are being frowned
upon for waiting in line for pots. Few have money to spare to take a 2.80
per gallon gas trip to Slidell's Walmart to buy pots.
Given, one should NOT have each family member with a drivers license sitting
in different vehicles in line to get half a dozen sets, bringing them to a
newly bought mansion in a fancy dubdivision, but those returning residents
with lost jobs and barely making ends meet, well, I am all FOR being
generous there. And yes, I got my set as well as my diminshed income goes
mostly for outrageous rent, and hubby works on our house daily. Once we move
back in, I need my own pots (presently the rental house is stocked, but I
have to start preparing for our move back home).
Thanks to the generous folks from Saudi Arabia and those hard working folks
keeping the lines moving.
(I picked my set up late when the line was much shorter and faster, on my
way to the church to plant some flowers to make it pretty for Sunday's first
post K service today)
