When it comes to charity work and distributing goods, one will always  have
some who are greedy, some 'waste' so to speak, but I just remember that
these folks have to answer to God for their doings.
When going to my new friends down the road, I often have to talk them into
taking an extra broom or blanket and to pass it on to new neighbors or
neighbors that happen to be out when I come.
Not a day goes by when they dont send me to yet another tent or trailer or
boat where someone needs something, or ask if they could take one for a
brother who is out trying to fish, or I come back and get told they gave
their broom away or their blanket to another family with kids. There are
more and more coming back and trailers multiply, so soon I wont be able to
hold enough in my little vehicle to supply everyone, having to go back and
restock already. I really need a place there to deliver and store the stuff
for easier access.
 
Anyway my point is that most 'original' genuine St Bernardians look out for
each other, take only what they need, pass it on to others, and have, in
fact, returned items that they found out they did not need or had already.
Now THAT makes my distribution task worthwhile and very satisfying.
