Officials from the Netherlands to Address LRA Task Force Tuesday on Water
Management, Flood Protection

BATON ROUGE, La. - Dutch officials will address water management and flood
protection Tuesday at a meeting of the Infrastructure and Transportation
Task Force. The public is invited to attend. 

The Netherlands Minister for Foreign Trade, an official with the Netherlands
Embassy in Washington, D.C. and the Managing Director of GeoDelft will brief
task force members and the public on the topic of "Integrated Water
Management: The Dutch Approach to Living with Water."

When: 1-3 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2006

Where: Department of Transportation and Development Headquarters Auditorium,
1st Floor, 1201 Capitol Access Road, Baton Rouge

At the completion of the task force meeting, The Netherlands delegation will
conduct an informal water policy workshop with breakout sessions on:

*	Flood Control: Levees, Structures, Engineering and Risk Management
