JIM,

THAT IS JUST ONE AREA THAT WE WILL BE MAKING SOME DRASTIC ADJUSTMENTS TO

CRAIG

And I'm sure you're gonna have a bunch off of this list alone!

What do you think, or, what are your thoughts about a major revamping of the
SBP government web portal?

I know that as a councilman you had very little input or influence on this.
But that being said, it's a new day now and the next step has been taken.

I'm sure (ahem) you can find a web designer to work with. There are so many
things that could be done via the web that would be inclusionary for the
citizens

I know when I worked at NFC in the Operations Control Center, one thing we
did was to set up an application where our external and internal customers
could submit "e-tix" to the OCC via the web. Instead of the customers having
to call in to O.C.C., they could go to the web and submit a ticket that way.
We had notifications via GroupWise that alerted us when new email was in
that box. We then input the info to a Remedy ticket and sent that back to
the customer with the relevant info such as ticket #, description of
problem, etc.

I'm not saying that the Remedy application would be the ideal for parish
business or inquiries. Remedy was designed for IT Help Desks. But
something along those lines for the web portal might be beneficial.

As I said, I'm sure there's an IT pro you can work with. I'd really like to
see the web presence improved.

Again, congrats to you. You're gonna be busy!

Jim
