In his article, Steve Krakauer writes...
"...Clemente's use of the word "instead" implies a judgment being made
about the White House - and their lack of focus on "critical issues" like
"jobs, health care and two wars." No matter how you parse the words, this
clearly shows the head of FNC's news division making an opinionated
statement about the Obama administration."
Not only do I disagree with Krakauer's perception or analysis here, he's
dead wrong. I'm surprised at Krakauer's short sightedness here that he
doesn't recognize "the fact" that Mr. Clemente (with Fox News) is simply
making an observation. That if the White House is spending most of it's
time attacking Fox News, then logic dictates they can't be focusing all of
their attention on what is obviously more important things - compared to how
how a news organization goes about its business of reporting the news.
Mr. Clemente is not passing judgement on the White House. He's recognizing
what the rest of the country sees as well.
Imagine if for one moment George W. Bush ever said he would never appear on
CNN because they were too liberal?
How can a sitting President get away with saying he will never appear on Fox
News Channel because they are a "wing of the Republican Party"?
Actually, I'm trying to figure out how this is even a threat, since to the
best of my knowledge, Obama has never been on any Fox News talk show to
