Thanks Joe,
My logs will only be around 12" long by 4 to 6" wide at the biggest, so
something that could be mounted to my bench would be great, just like the
Easley vice but without the cost. I cannot lay it flat on my bench as the
bench is raised up to 38" so I can stand to do my relief carvings, so if I
lay it flat it will be to high I think. I have a 1/2 dozen Pfeil tools with
a couple of mallets for carving my logs. Right now I'm leaning towards
building a jig like Greg's face carving one, I can get the screw top over at
Lee Valley. But any other ideas are always welcome.
