Also look at the outstanding sharpening system made by John Burke.  Many of us in the mid west use his machine and really like it.  Check it out at Big Dog's web site http://thewoodcraftshop.com/  Then look in his catalog on page 55.  It is slightly higher than you wanted to spend, but I am sure that you will remember the quality long after you have forgotten the price.
