I would suggest you type out the history, of the whos and whys you made it, 
and maybe even some pictures of its making in progress.  Put it on the 
back, and ModPodge over it.  Maybe even a layer under it so the oils don't 
seep into the paper.  I belong to a historical society here, and when out 
old post office was finally sold and a new business went in, they put back 
a large carving that had always been in it.  However, no one know who did 
it, who commissioned it,  when or why.  that is really to bad.  It is just 
that us old folks who always got our mail there, know it has always been there.
