Greetings all
Speaking as one of the 500+ carvers at the Evart Roundup I can say that we are all just thrilled to meet the famous carvers that make this pilgrimage to mid-Michigan. The Evart Fairground Swine Barn gained a whole new ambience when occupied by Chris Howard and ol’ Don Burgdorf. And with Joe Dillet, Sally Nye, Floyd Rhadigan, Jack Miller, Ray Mighells (just to name a few) being in different buildings it kept the crowd well dispersed. The downside is that there is so much going on that you can’t do everything. I somehow didn’t get to meet Dennis Moore even though we were in the same group picture.

We (500+ carvers) are always looking to buy wood, cutouts, bark, books, and tools so Jan Oegema will you be bringing a supply of your two handed Woodbutcher knives for sale? And Ron Wells, if you would consider making the trip with a gunny-sack full of your cutouts and (not so pretty) knives, you could probably sell everything including the sack.

>Hi Jan and Bill,
>As you can see below the Evart Roundup is June 15-18, 2005. Evart is
>in the center of the lower peninsula of Michigan. Just about in the
>middle of the mitten straight west of the tip of the thumb.

>Would just love it if you both could make it. It is in the summer and
>you wouldn't have to worry about running into any snow at that time.
>At least most of ours is melted by then! It was a real pleasure to
>et you Jan at the NE Roundup.
