hi john,
like redog said, a wood bookcase, about 1/4 inch with a lid that also opens
like a book cover, the woodenbookbox slightly bigger in diameter, to adhere
velvet or leather or felt... a piano hinge at the side to make it more
authentic ... the cover could have the words sacred bible carved and then
gilded in gold.... then your family name at the bottom, would not only keep
it safe but would become a special heirloom.
just a thought..
cheers
maricha

> Hi All
> My Bible is old and getting worn so I thought I could make a cover/holder
for it out of wood. I thought about making a box out of thin 1/4 inch stock
and chip carving it. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Does anyone
have any other ideas? I just don't know if this is a practical way to do
this. Please let me know what you think.
