Beware! I believe Japan Drier is a strong oxidiser. I used it to make my own stains (boiled linseed oil, turpentine, artist oil colors, japan drier). One day I used about 10 to 15 "drops" instead of the ~2 "drops" I should have used. As I finished staining a cabinet I was called to dinner. I set the stain rag on a piece of 3/4 plywood and that was the last I ever saw of the rag. When I returned to my garage it was filled with dense smoke and flying embers but no fire. The plywood had a 1/2 inch deep char where the rag had sat. Please be very precise when using these chemicals. I was very, very lucky. Bob Spohn

Japan drier is a liquid added to oil paints and linseed oil to make it dry
more
quickly. A little bit goes a long way, although I believe it is a heavy
metal
of some sort and not environmentally friendly if misused. (EG, not safe for
food use, etc.)

Thanks for your input Vic
PS
I was planning to paint my sandwiches with that Jap dryer but now I have
second thoughts about it LOL
