Beware! I believe Japan Drier is a strong oxidiser. I used it to make my own
stains (boiled linseed oil,turpentine, artist oil colors, japan drier). One
day I used about 10 to 15 "drops" instead of the ~2 "drops" I should have
used. As I finished staining a cabinet I was called to dinner. I set the
stain rag on a piece of 3/4 plywood and that was the last I ever saw of the
rag. When I returned to my garage it was filled with dense smoke and flying
embers but no fire. The plywood had a 1/2 inch deep char where the rag had
sat. Please be very precise when using these chemicals. I was very, very
