Hi all,
I have to agree with Bob, I had two magnetic bars holding my carving tools
to the wall, and within a short time they were magnetized, and proved
difficult to sharpen due to the filings clinging to the end of the blades.
I now use them for my screwdrivers only.
Take care,
Clive.
> When you sharpen you spend time trying to remove the wire burr.
> The last thing you want to do is magnitize your chisels so that can pick
up small iron particles that lie around the shop that act the same as a burr
wood. Take a screw driver magnetize it then dip it in iron filings and see
how hard it is to get theose iron filings off the end.
