Hi Ed and list,
When I read your post I laughed right out loud. In fact both David
and I are still chuckling over it. We took your message differently
than the others did though. We thought you were indeed telling the
truth about previous purchases from Big Dog.
Big Dog is just that kind of a guy..."I'll ship your item with an
invoice and you can pay me upon receipt of the package." Everybody
has good credit. That is a normal business style. Evidently it's a
midwest thing and maybe not all too common here anymore. However, it
was in the past.
When we do shows and someone doesn't have enough cash or a checkbook
we just tell them to take the items they want and send us a check
later. We have NEVER been took yet.
Their facial look of astonishment is worth more than the product.
They say, "You'd do that? WOW!!!" For us, it's just the "right"
thing to do. Woodcarvers are good people.
In Ed's case, we were thinking this is what happened to him and it
probably does look suspicious. That's why we're still chuckling.
Big Dog and Miss Carol are perfect role models on how to run a business.
Thanks for sharing your story, Ed.
Sally
