There are a couple different end sealers available.  I use Anchorseal
personally.  Woodcraft and Rockler Woodworking stores both carry an end
sealer.  Just do a search on the internet for "end sealer" and you find
links for what you're looking for.

Another suggestion is check with hardware stores or lumber yards or
even sawmills.  In my 25 years of working in sawmills, we always used
a wax based end seal for our cants and lumber.  I can't remember the brand
but one of these places should know. This comes colored or opaque.
