I use Briwax quite often and it works well. I put it on with a tooth brush
to get into the cuts and brush it dry with a shoe brush. Briwax comes in
different brown tones and ebony. It doesn't soak into the end grain like a
liquid stain.

Hello,
I hope someone can help me with a question about staining. A fellow carver
has relief carved a plaque and has rounded off the edges. She was wondering
if there is a way she could stain the whole piece without the end grain
edges taking the stain darker than the other edges. She would like the whole
plaque to take stain the same shade. Any help would be appreciated.
