John,  and everyone else:

I got a great carving in the mail today from the Pacific northwest from John
Lukens.  It is a pair of toothpick holders, carved in the style of the Tlinget
Indians, representing a bear and a beaver.  These are carved as they would
appear on a totem and are quite recognisable species even though the designs are
very different that what we are used to.  

Thanks John, these will join my shelf full of wonderful carvings! It never
ceases to amaze me each time I open the exchange package, to see what new and
fresh carving idea and style will come out each time.  These are great, thanks
so much for sending them and participating in the exchange!
