Go to the hardware store an get a double threaded
screw called a "metal dowel" or sometimes called a
threaded dowel. I make the connection between the two
dowels either in the handle or in the middle of a cane
segment to add strength. Drill a hole in the ends of
each dowel as close to the center as you can. Put a
little epoxy on the end and thread the metal dowel
into the dowel ends.
Hope this helps.
