[Woodcarver] Feeling a bit guilty about jumping in with a
question,

Great start Lloyd, and doing the prototype is a great idea. One of my
favorite Dennis Thornton carvings is a bipe pilot with a duck hitching a
ride on one of his wings. His treatment of the spinning propeller might
help you out.

Just MTCW, but I would extend the "swoop" on the very tip of each propeller
blade to extend all the way around the circle to the other tip (for
strength), and then pierce carve between swoops to open it up a bit. I know
it takes a lot of nerve to propose improvements on the ideas of a CCA
member, but Dennis is the one CCA member I can claim as a friend before he
was CCA so I take liberties ;-).
Keep on Carvin'
