Gordon, thanks for the suggestions.  My intention is to have a fishing 
pole, bent like a pole held by a downrigger, and the fishing line is 
going to be brass wire since that will be one of the points supporting 
the plane over the water.  The other will be a brass pin under the left 
front wheel.  Trust that will hold it up ok.  I did not attempt to draw 
in the pole and fishing line since I was using Paint to alter the photo, 
and my drawing is bad, but with paint it is horrible.
