Good morning to all. This is my first post to the list. I am a beginning carver and have a question regarding the use of rotary tools. I have seen Dremel tools and more expensive, but similarly styled rotary tools advertised for use in carving. I do not have one of these tools but do have an air powered rotary tool that runs off of my stand-up air compressor. I am wondering if this would be an appropriate tool to use for small statue carving. The air compressor has an adjustable outlet psi. I am afraid, though, that even though I can control the top end of the outlet pressure as the pressure decreases I will lose rpm's. The compressor will allow the psi to drop to a certain level before turning on and refilling. Will this be a problem?

Thanks in advance for your advice.
