heh there Irwin---good ?--keeping in mind the battery operated units have 
very little power relative to the lightweight "corded" units----I would like to 
help you with your ?---for the past 10 yrs or so I have constantly used the 
---Dremel mini mite--model 750--2 speed --5000rpm and 10000rpm(the newer units 
are slightly heavier and have more variable speeds)I use the low speed that 
lasts about 1 hr.with intermittent on off--(I also have 2 corded Dremel units that 
certainly can outperform the little mini-mite---I use the latter for obvious 
light duty tasks and it truly is a gem---A very special suggestion ---"be sure 
to buy 2 batteries and label each with masking tape "A" or "B" and keep them 
charged and with you"---wow !!what a useful little tool--I obviously luv it 
and so do my students---keep careving(new Cdn word) as it combines 2 of my 
favorite words(care and carve)--regards Hugh(skincarp)
