hi Bill never carved alaskan cedar, however carve a
lot of other cedars in the usa n lov the way they
carve.. Also been carving some pecan a freind gave me
however the only problem I noticed is I forgot to make
a head for a duck I had carved, and I am out of pecan
wood..

Really looks great wish I could find a place that has
pecan wood was told it was hard to carve but I did not
find that to be true
