[Woodcarver] Cutting Angles

Hi Jean,
On re-reading your original post my first assumption may be wrong. I
thought your were working on a project that resembled an open readable book.
I also assumed that you made a slight error in logic and subracted 30
degrees from 90 degrees instead of from 180 degrees aiming to produce a book
30 degrees from laying open flat. In other words I thought you wanted a
free standing book open 150 degrees. The 15 degree number would produce
that book.
However if you do indeed want a book open only 60 degrees you will have to
make an auxiliary tall fence to clamp to your band saw table. You will have
to tilt the table 30 degrees and make the rip cuts with the work pieces
standing on edge on the table leaned against the tall fence. The band saw
is not the best tool for making this cut (being a tool not usually used for
making straight cuts accurately) and great care must be taken since a large
amount of blade will be exposed.
