Hi
I make sure that the block is perfectly square all the way
around before I even glue the pattern on. I use rubber cement
to glue the pattern on to 2 adjacent sides. The pattern is
ordinarily drawn so that the 2 adjacent sides are on a single
sheet of paper with the line of the corner drawn in. The paper
when folded along the line gives automatic alignment of the
two sides. Then when cutting out, I cut one side until it is
almost done and then go to the adjacent side. This way the
alignment of the patterns of the 2 sides is not disturbed.
The second side can then be cut off completely so that I can go
back to the first side to finish. The uncut place on the first
side is always chosen to be in a place where the line is as
nearly a straight line as possible.
Hope this helps.
Happiness is a tall boat and breeze to fill her sails
Have a good day
George
