Well Alice - all I can say is that I am in AWE . You are obviously a superb
artist, regardless of the medium. I especially love the backlighting idea.
I have yet to try any significant relief carving but I know enough to see
that profuse compliments are deserved by your first relief carving - can't
wait to see your rendition of the other deadly sins.

for a long time, so that removes many impediments to carving, but I am
nonetheless oblivious to most aspects of carving and would like to know so
much more about it. Any tips that anyone has on large scale carving would be
