Cynda,
What's the name of your program???? In most programs you look the
magnifying glass icon (it has always looked more like a lollipop to
me!). Left click to make the image bigger and right click to make it
appear smaller on your computer screen. Since the original is from a
digital camera you will want to check not only the pixel size of the
image but also the dpi to reduce the kb weight before you are ready to
post it to the web.
I would suggest that you go over to www.jasc.com and download the latest
version of Paint Shop Pro. It is a fantastic program that is capable of
doing just about anything in image editing. Jasc gives you a thirty day
free trial of the program! It costs about $100 if you chose to purchase
it. It has four different options for resizing ...
Dpi which is the number of pixels per inch of image and usually 72
dpi is used for the web.
Physical measurement in both inches and cm's
Percentage of original
Pixel width and height
We run both PSP and Adobe Photoshop CS. Adobe is great if you are doing
illustrations or photography for hard copy publication and need both
pantone color references and layers to the image. But for web work I go
directly to PSP.
