The photos of the gig are wonderful and well thought out.  Thank you for
including the plans for the gig, that is extremely generous of you to
share with the whole carving community!!  Very well worth everyone

I was working up in the studio yesterday with a terry cloth towel on my
lap to catch the chips. Sneaking in a little carving between shop
business sort of thing. Now, I knew better than to be holding my knife
the way I was. But being me and only getting a few chances to really do
some 'just for fun' carvings I was overly aggressive to round out the
blank so I could get onto the good stuff.  I think that the saddest part
of this is that I do have a great set of well developed calluses but
none of them were in the right place for yesterday's cane carving :)
