[woodcarver] carving spruce?

Thank all of you that replied to my question. You are all very helpful. I 
will order some basswood from the sources you gave me and also I think I 
will go and get some of the pine that Rip suggested.
Also I sure hope that I too will have a online picture album some day soon 
for you all to view my carvings.
