Ray,
I agree, it seems to be a very nice tool, but it is also available at Lee
Valley:
http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.asp?page=44884&category=1,43072&ccurrency=2&SID=
The price is much lower, but you must supply your own motor. You can buy
several different belts, including a leather one.
Thanks,
Dan

Here's an inquiry regarding sharpening systems. The adv in the latest issue
of WCI about the Ultimate Sharpening Machine being offered by Chipping Away
and tested by Roger Schroeder in the same issue. Does anyone have
experience with this tool? Roger's test indicates that the tool will
sharpen AND hone, but doesn't mention burr removal on the inside of gouges.
It looks like a good tool, it has a small footprint and the price seems
OK. If the leather belt can polish the inside burr off from the bevel side
of gouges, it would be a very useful tool. In any case it should be
excellent for keeping a fresh edge. Appreciate any feedback, thanks; Ray
