 have attended several community safety meetings where police officers gave their position, which is stated more strongly in direct relationship to the size of the city (including suburbs), as follows:
 
1. Every property/store/building should have address numbers large enough and obvious enough to be read easily from a moving car on the street. This is so a prowler or any strange event, can be quickly reported by anyone passing by without guessing the address.
 
2. Names should never be placed outside, even on mail boxes, because a perp will use the name to gain access as an old friend or official personage.
