[Woodcarver] New to the list

Just wanted to take a moment and say hi to everyone. I am a new woodcarver. 
Have been doing woodworking for the last 25 years and a few years ago moved 
into more of the log furniture style of woodworking.  I thought it would be 
nice to incorporate some carvings on some pieces so I started doing some 
simply patterns and fell in love - it is great!  So at 49, I now am 
embarking on something I wish I had started as a kid - but as they say never 
too late to start something worthwhile.  In any case I am truly enjoying the 
journey.  Several of you have been a great help to me selecting tools and 
advice in general, it is greatly appreciated.



This list is a wealth of information and the camaraderie between members is 
nice.
