Hi Jean,
Byron is on an excellent idea about the image printing problem. Crop
the image to just the actual image with no margins. Un-highlight "Fit
to Page" as you want the image to print to it's exact size. Now, go to
the toolbar and select "Image" - "Resize". In the new menu check the
dpi of the image and if necessary reset it to 100 dpi. Click OK. Now
return to "image" - Resize" and reset your image size either in pixels
or inches. Click OK. Save the image somewhere as a copy. Now try to
print.
If the image was set at less than 100 dpi it means the image will print
extremely large. If the image is over 100 dpi it will print very small.
An image on the web that looks like it's 4" x 5" but is 300 dpi will
only print to 1.5" x 1.75" ... An image that looks 4" x 5" on the web at
70 dpi will print somewhere around 7" x 9".

Hello,
I've run into a problem printing out patterns in Paint
Shop Pro. If I try to print a drafted or scanned-in
pattern that is, say, 7x9 inches in the landscape
view, the right margin is somehow set at about 2-1/2
inches and that side of the image is cut off (even in
the Print Preview window, not just as a finished
product). Doesn't happen in other programs, so am
guessing it's not a Windows problem, but a PSP issue.
I've tried changing the "Page Setup" from "Fit To
Page" to "Center On Page". I've tried manually setting
margins. Nothing seems to change this apparently
default setting, yet the "Preferences" area says auto
for standard 8-1/2x11 paper (which is what I need.)
Can't be carving folks with their legs cut off, or
headless animals, so appreciate any ideas from Paint
Shop Pro users or techies--off-line, please, so we
don't clog up the public bytes.
Thanks, as always, for your suggestions....
Jean
Jean,
My guess is that the problem is with the scanned image. Suggest that
you look at the picture in Paint Shop Pro. (I use Paint Shop Pro quite a
bit). Then crop out all the "white" space. Again, I'm guessing that the
problem is with the size of the scanned image.
Byron
