[Woodcarver] Roughout Machine

Hello everyone. I've been following this list for the past 3-4 years and
have got lots of useful information from it. I carve a lot of 8-10 inch
figures, between 400 and 500 a year. I'm looking to buy some type of
machine for roughing out my carvings and too take some stress off my
hands. I would like to know if the power carvers are any good for this
or would I need some kind of roughout machine. I would appreciate any
input.
