I too have my screen set to 800 x 600  and use a 17" Nec monitor with 
Mozilla,  I have tried 1280 x 768 and still have to scroll side to side to 
read the new web pages.
Hard to believe that this new change creates so much of a problem, sad to 
say maybe Joe is right   it's the joy of aging.
