Susan,

Right on. Problem is we've gotten conditioned to think that
one is news and the other is just the way it's supposed to be.
More attention should be placed of when things are done just because
it the right way.

Kids today also:

Join organized sports, perform in school plays, visit the library,
volunteer at their local humane society, read books, get good grades,
go
on to college, hold down jobs, clean the basements for their aged
parents, take their little brothers with them to the movies ... And a
lot of other great things.

You can always catch someone doing something wrong but you can also
Catch Them Doing Something Right!

Just my opinion ... Take what you want and throw the rest away!

Brings back memories, Old Joe. This was the fad when I was a youngster
in the late 40s & early 50s. We did it using a half-dollar
("four-bits")
and
a kitchen tablespoon. Us guys used to get together & do it.

Fifty cents was a significant expenditure, back then, you could take
a girl to the movies (a cartoon, the weekly serial, the news, and the
feature film) buy popcorn and still have change left over.

Now-a-days the kids tip over grave-stones, steal cars, impregnate the
girl next-store and act-up at the malls.
