Al:

Junior Cobb used to do a lot of carving around the Silver Dollar City area.
Probably the best source of verification would be Peter Engler. If I'm not
mistaking, Junior did many carvings back when Pete had Valley Road
Woodcarving at Silver Dollar City. I don't have Peter's email address but
Greg Wilkerson probably does. You might find him via a search engine.

Hope this helps a little.

Hello Everyone,

A friend recently picked up a carving of an owl carved into a piece of
driftwood. It was signed by Junior Cobb. I looked him up on the web and
found some real good info on him, but it never showed how he signed his
carvings. On the owl carving the Junior Cobb is simply carved into the
bottom of the piece with what appears to be a v-tool. Is there any way to
authenticate this piece or de we just accept that the signature is
authentic. Thank you very much for any and all answers.
