I just bought a new leather strop and I want to "break it in".  I have 
black, white and green compound.
Which compound in better for keeping a knife sharp and honed?
 
Also, I just completed a Pete LeClair class this past weekend if anyone 
wants to see pictures.  Pete is a great teacher.
