Hi:
Further to what Ivan has to say:
About this secondary bevel: I use the term "micro bevel" to describe
the small bevel I place of the inside leading edge of a gouge or
veiner (skews and chisels are handled differently) using a hard
Arkansas slip-stone. The micro bevel can be seen with the naked eye
but only under bright light.
Hope this helps,
Bill
