[Woodcarver] Alder

Hi
I've been teaching a small group of newbies how to carve a small
plaque. The wood that I chose for
them is alder because it is nearly grainless and nearly pure white.
Each step of the way, I carve
and then show them "This is what it should look like when you finish
this step". The least competent
of them has had no problems with carving the alder. It carves smooth
and clean.

Have a good day
