Look for fluorescent bulbs labeled “Daylight” or “ 6,000
degrees Kelvin” . If you look in lighting supply stores you can find them
in standard screw in and 4’ shop light styles. The Tungsten bulbs labeled
Daylight are not always 6,000 K. .I started using daylight bulbs for
painting because then I knew what colors I would have when I took my
carvings out into the daylight, now I use daylight bulbs everywhere in my
studio. I can’t say they make me feel any better during the winter, but I am
convinced that I can see better with them & I know the colors are truer .
