Kelvin light scale does not refer to temperature, but to the degree of

Being a professional photographer, we used the Kelvin scale for knowing
which filter to use the lower degree of Kelvin would be the reds of a normal
light bulb and when you get up to 5,000 or so you are approaching daylight.
