1)what was your first carving you ever made?
A 4 foot tall Woodspirit from a piece of Red Oak
using carpenter's chisels.
2)what was the funniest carving you ever made?
A Woodspirit... did one eye, came out real well the eye was
looking down. Rotated the piece & did the other eye. When
I finished, one eye was looking down & one up.
3)what was the most difficult carving you ever made or
what did you struggle the most with when carving, how
did you solve it?
A Billiken!! And I haven't solved it yet. Very few pix on the www
& nothing much elsewhere. It's a styilized figure. I keep going back
and trying it again & again.
Solve it ? I burn them in the woodstove.
