Does anyone know of a source for individual, high quality, or
sintered diamond bits that can be ordered in specific grits. I used
to order them from a dental supply company but all of the dentists
have gone to a snap in holding system so they no longer make bits
that fit in a 3/32" or 1/8" collet. The sets that are available from
most carving supply houses are of low quality. I can order higher
quality ones from jewelry supply houses but they don't have them in
specific coarser grits. I have diamond bits that I bought years ago
from the dental supply that have hundreds of hours on them and they
still cut better than brand new ones I can get in the cheap sets. I
dropped my favorite bit and damaged it but I can't find a
replacement. I also want to expand my array of shapes.
Thanks,
