[Woodcarver] Willow wood

I have a section from a weeping willow tree (5 inches by 7 feet) Has anyone
carved this kind of wood? I wanted to know if I should save it for carving
or bring it to the dump.

Yes you can carve willow make sure your tools a very sharp
In the old country willow (and poplar ) are used to make wooden shoes
